This is where people usually get lost, so let's go back to our case. In the scenario described above, we have finished flooring 1, 2, 4 and 3, but can not do floor 5. We don't wish to replicate floors or OSRS gold so the XP will utilize a prestige figure of 0. Rather we"reset", which moves our current progress (prestige) figure of 4 to our previous advancement (prestige) number. We'll finally have a current improvement of 0 (since we only"reset" and so are starting a new run) and a previous progress of 4 (out of when we reset).

We could return and do floor 1 . When we complete it, the match will observe that we have a current progress of 1 (from finishing flooring 1 in this series ) but a previous progress of 4. It will calculate XP with the previous prestige of 4, not 1. This will be averaged with the flooring numbers 1, 2, 3 and 4 as we do those floors. This ensures that we are rewarded for having done 4 floors in a row without copying any.

How Prestige Changes XP Granted for Floors. The prestige system ensures that if you reset advancement and go back to earlier flooring, you get more XP than you did the very first time you finished them, but significantly less than you may when you repeat the deeper floors. For example, if my prior advancement (prestige) is 9 when I refresh, then once I return to do floor 1 the XP is going to be contingent upon averaging 9 and 1. While I do flooring 2, it will be averaging 9 and two, and so on. I will get the most base XP when I work my way down to floor 9, where I'll be averaging 9 and 9. In general , this works out to approximately 25 percent less XP than if the game allow you to replicate your deepest level without a prestige penalty.

Note, however, that I'll still get more XP for even flooring 1 than the first time I did this, because the first time, I had been averaging floor 1 and prestige 1 (yielding base XP calculated on an average of 1) and today I'm averaging flooring 1 and prestige 9 (yielding base XP calculated on an averge of 5). It follows that, all else being equal, I'll get as much XP doing flooring 1 using a prestige of 9 because I did the first time I did floor 5 using a prestige (current progress) of 5.

Similarly, there is scarcely any reason to ever redo a floor and choose the"zero prestige" penalty. If you consider it, you're always better off to save advancement and begin over at ground 1, because averaging a 1 from floor 1 having a high prestige figure is far better than averaging a high floor number with cheap RuneScape gold a prestige of zero.
