Simply put, Standard Deviation is a tool used in the field of statistics to assess how much variance there is within a given set of numbers. Simply put: I use it to see who's ranked the most- and least-consistently. According to Standard Deviation, the lower the number, the more consistent the data in the set. For our purposes, this means the less that the Standard Deviation, the more reliable the rankings. It's the opposite The more high it is, the more reliable the rankings.

The table is sorted from highest-consistently graded to lowest-consistently graded.
Notes: 75 percent of teams (24 of 32) experienced a Standard Deviation rise this week. Chances are that's because the sources I use are higher than I did last time.As is normal, the teams on the other side of the spectrum are generally classified.
