I just purchased the Spider Orb from the Grand Exchange and used it in conflict beneath the Barbarian Village. The first thing I noticed is RS gold that the cartoon seems to suggest the spell is coming from the Spider Orb (And not the Spider Wand, which I have outfitted ). On a Runescape wiki I found the following about the Spider Orb:"The Spider orb is a magic orb worn at the defense slot. It takes 20 Magic to use. It's the off-hand equal of this spider wand, and it lets players cast spells with all the off-hand slot"

What I don't know is: it's the off-hand equal of the spider wand. It allows players cast spells with the off-hand slotmachine. What does this mean exactly and should I even bother using it at all? And, I don't know what"off-hand slot machine" means. Well as I'm sure you've seen players can dual wield weapons now. Previously (like in pre-Evolution of Combat) other than two handed weapons your only options were to use a 1 handed weapon with a shield or a somewhat offensive shield slot thing such as a Defender or a God book, however they were shields in theory. So now you have an extra option - you can wield a weapon and a shield for additional defensive bonuses (and can use a few shield only defensive/constitution abilities) or you can dual wield weapons.

Dual wielding is more offensively concentrated of course, and it is slightly better than using 2handed weapons since you get somewhat superior skills. Which is why most people prefer using double crossbows instead of a 2handed crossbow or bow, and a wand + the defense slot offensive weapon equivalent (usually orbs like the Spider Orb) instead of staves (except in some specific situations where you should risk just 1 thing ). Basically you should view the orb as some sort of off-hand sword or crossbow even thought it does not resemble a weapon.

So it's the equivalent of the Spider Wand since it has the same tier, it's the fitting off-hand offensive weapon of the Spider Wand. At your level you are probably able to purchase and wield Batwing btw, which can be even better and it's super cheap also.

Warpriest is the best armour in F2p but it is only obtainable by members... unless you engaged in the event several months back which I doubt. It maxes out in grade 2 in f2p (was nerfed by Jagex), so it's not really the best armor in many conditions. You can still get adequate hybrid armor, however, the ghost hunter armor (w/e it is called) is cheap OSRS gold equally as great and you will get it out of murdering ghosts. Additionally there's dragonstone armor, but the cost is pretty steep.
