The pharmacokinetic properties of atorvastatin
Plasma concentrations of atorvastatin are elevated in patients with chronic alcoholic liver disease. Drug exposure was four times higher in Child-Pugh class A patients and 11 times higher in Child-Pugh class B patients. Atorvastatin is contraindicated in patients with active liver disease.
