A Nissan clutch disc is part of the device on a car or truck that is designed to disconnect the motor from the transmission when the clutch is pushed. Because a huge amount of heat is generated when your vehicle's Nissan clutch disc is pressed into the pressure plate, the frictional surface wears off and the clutch has to be replaced.
In a VW, the flywheel is attached to the rear end of the engine crankshaft engine, and the Vw clutch plate is connected to the transmission by way of the splined shaft that protrudes from the rear end of the transmission.
