It has been reported that the Alex Ferguson death hoax started on a Facebook page. On Thursday, 10 June 2021, an ‘R.I.P. Alex Ferguson’ Facebook page attracted nearly one million ‘likes’.
The page’s About section gave a detailed account of Alex Ferguson’s passing: “At about 11 a.m. ET on Thursday (June 10, 2021), our beloved coach Alex Ferguson passed away. Alex Ferguson was born on December 31, 1941 in Glasgow. He will be missed but not forgotten. Please show your sympathy and condolences by commenting on and liking this page.”
This had fans thinking that Alex Ferguson had truly passed away.

On Friday (11 June) Ferguson’s reps officially confirmed that Alex Ferguson is not dead. They said: “He joins the long list of celebrities who have been victimized by this hoax. He’s still alive and well, stop believing what you see on the Internet.”
So, don’t fear for Fergie as of yet! He seems to be alive and well this June 2021.
