Second, I really don't like how they've reduced the potency of prayer in pvm. I wouldn't mind in pvp, but when you can't use protect prayers with 100% efficacy, some managers become a whole lot harder (and dungeoneering, see above). Additionally, all prayer-boosting gear has been taken away. This makes turmoil and soul divide much more expensive to RS gold use, and slows down slayer in case you don't utilize them.

Thirdly, there are a few choices they made with the weapon/armour platform I do not like. Shields shed all records that are offensive and I have no clue how defender works at this time. Gloves and boots shed all attacking stats. All offensive promotes are now relative rather than absolute (i.e. +2% instead of something like +8) also it would appear that the only offensive thing which may be promoted is critical strike chance. This seriously hurts quicker, weaker weapons such as rapier. Talking of rapier, it is currently nerfed in rate to be simply a CLS using stab rather than slash.

That brings me to the next point: no style switching for melee or range. If you've got a rapier, then now you can only stab with it, no more negotiable. If you'd like slash you will have to switch your weapon. For range, the only means to accelerate attacks is to utilize a faster weapon; the only way to shoot further is to use a lesser one.

Finally, the abilities. Now to fight efficiently, all you need to do is button Publish every skill. Apart from becoming more trying on the fingers, this requires a great deal more focus, making combat a significant chore if you want to train a good deal - say if you would like to get 99 slay. Additionally, all battle xp is given in the end rather than a hit, making prayer flashing a hell of a lot harder.
