Madden NFL used to be the norm on Nintendo platforms however we haven't seen it for nearly 10 years since Madden NFL 13 on Wii U. EA is still giving us updates every year for FIFA (even in the case of "legacy editions"), EA previously claimed they weren't planning to launch it on Switch in the year 2018. However, a recent job announcement suggested Madden may finally be on the way.

Doctre81 on YouTube discovered the job title "Online Software Engineer (C++ ) - Madden" back in November 2020. As part of the job description one section requests two years of experience with "Microsoft, Sony or Nintendo game consoles". This might seem like a lot, but previous EA job descriptions haven't mentioned Nintendo in their job requirements.

At the very least, EA could be investigating an eventual release. It is worth noting that EA had previously said that it would launch seven Switch games over the 12-month time frame in June 2020.
