Itinerary of a day trip to Agra

Day 1- Delhi to Agra)

06:00 hours- Leave from Delhi at around 6 in the morning. Once you reach Agra you must check into the hotel of your choice. Once you are done with the check-in process, rest for a while and then proceed to see the Taj Mahal which is a dream in marble. It took almost 22 years to build this fabulous monument. Basically, Shahjahan built Taj in memory of his beautiful wife, Mumtaz Mahal. This monument is the symbol of his unremitting love for his wife who passed away during childbirth

Later during the day, you must proceed to visit Agra Fort which is a well-known UNESCO World Heritage site. You will have a superb view of the Taj from here. As Agra Fort is made completely out of red sandstone it is also called the Red Fort of Agra or Lal Quila. Agra Fort showcases fine Islamic as well as Hindu architecture. Day 2: Leave for Delhi
